About Us

One Step Wild Burros and Mustang is dedicated to finding homes for every wild burro and mustang we rescue in animal holding facilities and or equine at risk for slaughter, horses in need of emergency assistance and from animal control agencies though the trainer incentive program (TIP).

OSWBMR is currently a equine rescue/ foster program, working to become a 501 (3) nonprofit horse

rescue and sanctuary that is located in

New River, Arizona. 

Since 2018 we have recued and adopted out 32 equine - all with the support of generous donors and volunteers. Our volunteers in the community gain life-enhancing skills by assisting in the rehabilitation of these equine and proving them with the loving attention they deserve

About our Board

 One Step Wild Burros and Mustang Rescue Board of Directors is comprised of four volunteers, and is vested with the full power to promote OSWBMR's welfare. The Board is elected annually by voting members including active volunteers and the founding member of One Step Wild Burros and Mustang Rescue. The Board meets monthly to discuss the concerns, direction, and management of OSWBMR’s affairs.
